In 1994, Karsten Schroder immigrated to New Zealand from Germany. In the subsequent 30 years he travelled his adopted country countless times, tramping and taking photographs. The pictures in this book are the results of this journey, they show New Zealand in its often untouched and pristine glory.
The text, however, points out how nature and wilderness are exposed to growing threats here as well, and urges us to prevent further destruction.
